Have you been stock piling sensitive documents awaiting a shredding opportunity? Look no further. Plan to join us as we celebrate our most valuable customers, our members! We have contracted ASDD Document Destruction to provide shredding services. ASDD is a division of The Centers for Habilitation and 100% of their service dollars go to providing jobs for those with disabilities. If you have not set up your landing page within the AFCC web directory or taken advantage of your complimentary Save Local Now subscription, this will be your day. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Library Community Room at South Mountain Community College - Main Campus. Attendees will observe students make their pitch to the investor panel, much like an episode of the popular television show "Shark Tank". Students will be awarded dollars towards their "ask" (start-up costs) based on their pitch. The Ahwatukee Community Swim & Tennis Center presents
Tukee Fest Rockin’ in the Park
The Ahwatukee Community Swim & Tennis Center is proud to present Tukee Fest Rockin’ in the Park once again. 
It all happens Saturday, April 14 at Ahwatukee Park, 4700 E. Warner Road from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Admission is free!! Get out the lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a night of great entertainment! The tunes start at 6 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m. 
Enjoy the sounds of the FLASHBACK BAND – Rocking 80’s & More.  Flashback is a rocking cover band from Phoenix, Arizona playing all the hits from the 80's with a few stellar songs from various decades sprinkled in for good measure.   They bring to the stage, a fully choreographed light show for every song as well as a professional sound.    A very interactive and entertaining band that will have you on your feet or dancing in your seat.
You can grab a “cold one” from Bud, enjoy a nice wine, freshly grilled hamburger or hotdog, shaved ice & ice cream from “Tikiz”, and much more. 
Kids of all ages can get some air by bouncing in bounce houses, sliding down slides and climbing a rock wall brought to you by Fun & Jump.  There will also be a miniature train ride and live pony rides for kids.   Lots of variety of amusement for kids of all ages!  Amusements rides begin at 11 am and continue until 9 pm.   Pony rides are from 5 – 8:30 pm. 
Tickets needed for food, beverages, and rides can be purchased at the event.   Proceeds from Tukee Fest will benefit the various youth programs held at the Community Center and the foster youth homes sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Ahwatukee.

Member Event: Festival of Lights 23rd Annual Wine & Beer Tasting Festival

Ahwatukee Foothills Festival of Lights non-profit 501c3 organization will present the 23rd Annual Wine & Beer Tasting Festival, taking place at Rawhide Western Town on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from 6:30-10:30 pm, featuring samplings of assorted wines, local craft beers and delectable appetizers from East Valley restaurants.
Additionally, the band “Tripwire” will provide for dancing under the stars and there will be line dancing by Carrie, a large online auction, pay spirits bar and much more.
Tickets are $50 in advance and available for purchase on and the 3 Safeway stores in Ahwatukee.  At the door, tickets are $60, if available.  A special 6 Shooter Package offers 6 tickets for $240 which is a savings of $10 per ticket off the advance purchase ticket price.
Monies raised from the Wine & Beer Tasting Festival is used to pay for the Million White Lights display along Chandler Boulevard during the holiday season.  In addition, several charities selected by the organization will be the recipients of a portion of our proceeds donated at the end of the year.
